Trout with Curried Orange Butter

This trout is so good you don’t have to do anything fancy, but if you want to experiment a little this is a fun and simple recipe. Pictured here with rice pilaf and sauted spinach.



  • Trout! (2 filets)

  • 2 tablespoons softened butter

  • 1 teaspoon curry powder

  • 1 teaspoon grated orange zest

  • 4 wedges of orange for garnish

  • salt & pepper, as you like it



Mix softened butter, curry powder, orange zest, salt and pepper, in a small bowl and pop in the freezer for 10 minutes until firm.


Cut your flavored butter into small slices and place atop the fish fillets.  Place your fish on the broiler pan and broil for 6 minutes, until cooked.  Serve with orange wedges, and enjoy your fleeting, delicious moment with this fish that has oh, about a million years on our species. Cheers!
